With dozens of choices for concealed carry purposes, there is no way to test them all to make a decision on what fits you best. We are going to continue to provide a concealed carry pistol blog to give you the most knowledge for your decision-making process. This blog will highlight some newer guns on the market that you may not have heard of, and some tried and true pistols that thousands of Americans own and love. We will discuss each of these guns below: Kahr Arms PM9, HK P30SK, HK P2000SK, Beretta Nano, Beretta PX4, Glock 43, and CZ P-10C.
KAHR PM9 9MM
Kahr Arms is a newer gun company relative to the more well-known companies of Smith & Wesson, Beretta, and Heckler and Koch. The PM9 is only 5.4″ long and weighs less than 1 pound (.87 lbs) with the famous 3.1″ Walther polygonal rifled match grade barrel. The PM9 also comes with Tritium night sights for use in either night (glows green) or day (white dot). This is the smallest concealed carry pistol that I know with its combination of size and weight. This gun is perfect to conceal in purses, waistbands, shoulder holsters, and it will even fit in most pockets for men.

Where Can I Buy a Kahr PM9?
Kahr Arms guns can be found all over, but I would stick with Dicks Sporting Goods, Palmetto State Armory, GunBroker, and Armslist. Kahr pistols are exceptionally well made and are not overpriced, but they are expensive. For this reason, we suggest to buy used at a place like Armslist or buy from Palmetto State for new, especially if you’re a Veteran or law enforcement officer.
HK P30SK V1 LITE LEM 9MM SUBCOMPACT PISTOL
I wanted to put this up here for my police officers because this is a viable option to replace the Glock 22 and Glock 19. The interchangeable backstraps give each shooter the ability to customize for their own hand size, rather than adjust to the gun. The P30sk is built with ambidextrous operating controls and offers the amazing SuperLuminova 3-dot sights for optimal target acquisition. The best part of the P30sk is the Law Enforcement Modification (LEM) trigger that is designed to break at 4.5-5 lbs for every shot. This lighter trigger pull gives more control and better accuracy because you won’t pull shots from anticipation. The P30sk also comes with a loaded chamber indicator that sticks up high enough to notice if your gun is loaded or not.

CZ P-10 Compact .40 S&W Pistol
CZ is always going to produce great guns and the P-10 Compact (C) is no different from its cold-hammer-forged barrel and amazing trigger. As a striker-fired pistol, the P-10 C sets itself apart with the clean, crisp trigger pull that rebounds instantly, shot after shot. Of all triggers, the P-10 has the most intuitive feel because it has almost no creep and the weight is always the same at 4.5 lbs. The power that comes with the .40 S&W is more than enough to stop an assailant with one shot, regardless of the mindstate of the target.

Beretta PX4 Compact 40 S&W Pistol
I learned to shoot using the Beretta 92F 9mm pistol in the military, so I’m very familiar with Beretta as a company. I have a lot of gripes about their guns, but the PX4 .40 caliber is so different and so much better than the one I grew up on. The PX4 is fully ambidextrous with an enlarged trigger well to fit gloves or those with monster hands, without any other modification. Personally, I love the fact that Beretta always has a manual safety lever to ensure no accidents can happen during travel or if the gun drops to the ground. The cold hammer-forged rotary barrel reduces the felt recoil for easier follow-up shots when you need them the most. The fact that this is chambered in a .40 S&W makes this gun the perfect primary carry for law enforcement or for concealed carry capacities.

HK PISTOL P2000SK
The P2000sk is the subcompact version of the P2000 with a few modifications to the trigger and grip for more customization for police officers. The LEM is used in this model as well as the P30SK to give officers a lighter and shorter trigger pull, for optimal accuracy. The P2000SK is fully ambidextrous for us lefties to use and has the capability to add optics, sights, lasers, and lights. HK really focused on providing a powerful concealed carry pistol that provides an intuitive trigger preventing failure to fire from ammo. All you have to do if your ammo doesn’t feed is keep pulling the trigger and the round will feed itself. This is an incredible feature that makes HK stand out in the market, but it also comes with a very hefty price tag.

Beretta Nano
The Beretta Nano is the perfect concealed carry pistol for people with smaller hands, such as most women, children, or guys like me with smaller hands. This gun will literally fit in your pocket, if you don’t have a holster for it, and conceals perfectly within your waistband or on your hip. I recommend putting aftermarket night sights on the pistol, but try to avoid optics or attachments on this gun. It will defeat the purpose of being low profile if you add lights, lasers, or optics because it becomes bulky and noticeable. The ergonomics for this pistol are great for someone like me, but if you have bigger hands, I suggest you go change the backstraps.
