Top 4 Shotgun Slings Under $50

Finding the right sling for your shotgun shouldn’t be as hard as it seems to be nowadays. With hundreds of companies telling you that their product is the best, doesn’t help anyone make a decision.

Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for you, I’ve gone through about a dozen of shotgun slings in the past 10 years and I’ve finally found a few that I like and am willing to share with our readers.

One of the biggest concerns from most buyers is that they’ve already spent hundreds, if not thousands on a shotgun and the optics, so it’s difficult to explain to the wife that you need to spend even more money for a sling.

I’m going to share some great shotgun slings that are less than $50 and will make you happier, safer, and wear down less while you’re “hunting".

1. Quake Claw Shotgun Sling

The Quake Claw shotgun sling works with any shotgun or rifle that has at least a lanyard hole attached to the stock and/or receiver. My biggest pet peeve that I think we can all agree on is having your damn sling fall off your shoulder every time you step up to a rock or walk downhill. Almost every sling I’ve owned has had this problem because slings are designed to be comfortable while lugging around a 5-15 lbs weapon around the mountains.

The Quake Claw is the best sling to address this specific issue and will not fall off your shoulder, regardless of your terrain or tempo. The Quake Claw is rigid but very flexible with a feel like hard rubber. The other feature that makes this a great sling is the ability to draw your shotgun up and have the sling slide smoothly from your shoulder. If you’re anything like me, you’re wondering what keeps it from sliding from my shoulder while I’m hiking? The Quake Claw uses the gravity of the gun to ensure there is tension to allow the Claw to grip your clothing properly.

2. BOOSTEADY Black Shotgun Sling

When you’re trying to spend less than $50 on your sling, there is nothing better than a sling that holds up to 25 shotgun shells of either 12 or 20 gauge. One of the features that I look for in a sling is how much of the sling is covered in padding? Call me whatever you want, but I prefer my slings to have padding throughout to ensure no matter what position I would be carrying my shotgun, my shoulder would be protected.

The Boosteady shotgun sling has an adjustable strap that ranges from 36"-56.9" to fit anyone inside the range of Shaq and Kevin Hart. It’s lightweight, durable enough to handle anything I’ve been through in the woods of Virginia. I’ve noticed a few picks in the fabric, but it’s all minor and doesn’t seem to be an issue. However, I hunt in heavy timber in wide elevation changes, making it less likely to avoid a tree or 3 while getting to or from your hunting lands. I haven’t had any reason to contact their customer service and in my mind, that’s worth every bit of $18.99.

3. EZshoot 2 Point Rifle Sling

The EZshoot 2 Point rifle sling less than $20 and comes with everything you need to be tactically sound in the forests while hunting. It comes with an adjustable shoulder strap with the ability to accommodate almost anyone. The EZshoot 2 Point sling is built with widened padded shoulder pads to help disperse the weight of the shotgun, making it more comfortable for longer.

It’s not built with the Quake Claw material, but this sling has an anti-slip material that keeps the strap pretty tight to your shoulder. The swivels that connect the shotgun to the strap are made of heavy aluminum with a 300lb weight limit on each swivel. The durability of the metal and high tension rate allow any gun you’d ever carry to be securely attached without any worry. Having confidence in your gear is very important to hunting in the forests, you have enough to worry about.

4. Condor Shotgun Sling

The Condor Speedy shotgun sling is a nice sling for quick adjustment capability. During the hunt, it’s always important to be able to adapt and adjust to get the best shot. Anyone still hunting this late in turkey season knows by now that the slightest movement will scare a turkey away. As the old saying goes, if turkeys could smell us, we’d never see them.

The ability to adjust your strap in rapid time to move your shotgun to a firing position is a good characteristic to have for an affordable price. I chose this as my final sling because it’s the least comfortable of any sling on the list. There is no padding or support, but the weight distribution is nice and the ability to quickly manipulate your shotgun without interference from your sling is worth it for shorter hunts or if you’re hunting in a blind or tree stand.
