The S&W M&P Shield 2.0 is one of the best-concealed carry pistols on the market and the one I use as my secondary EDC. If you’re an avid reader of RE, you probably know by now that I prefer to carry the Walther PPS M2. However, the M&P Shield 2.0 is an awesome pistol that provides shooters with excellent accuracy and great ergonomics.  The only gun that I prefer the ergonomics more is the Walther PPS M2.

The 2.0 model is much better than the original Shield because they fixed the takedown of the gun. The original required extra tools and a ton of time to figure out how to take down the slide. The 2.0 model is as easy as pressing a button on the back of the slide and removing the slide from the frame. The other great thing is the 2.0 features the M&P’s patented take-down lever and sear deactivation systems allow for disassembly without pulling the trigger.

The grip for the M&P Shield is textured for enhanced grip and offers much more control than other CCWs. The M&P Shield 2.0 feels better in my hand than any Glock or Springfield. I love the 18-degree grip angle because it offers a more comfortable and natural point of aim. This angle improves the ergonomics over most other CCWs.
