Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Killed in Raid
According to the President of the United States, the self-proclaimed caliphate, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in a highly classified and daring mission by members of the U.S. military. The raid took place at approximately, 11:00 P.M. on October 26, 2019, in Northern Syria. Baghdadi was infamously known as the terrorist leader to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). As the President mentions, he was the number one terrorist leader on the FBI list and had a $25 million bounty on his head, dead or alive.
Last night, the United States brought the world's number one terrorist leader to justice. President @realDonaldTrump addresses the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the founder and leader of ISIS. Full remarks: https://t.co/3ucibNVOU8 | More: https://t.co/b4fBx9qyY6 pic.twitter.com/odrheyNRtc

According to CNN, the raid was conducted by the most famous and notorious soldiers we have, the Navy’s SEAL Team 6 and the Army’s 1st Special Forces, Operation Detachment Delta (Delta Force) on Saturday night at a compound that was disguised as a sheep farm. The raid lasted almost 2 hours, in which these elite soldiers cleared the entire compound and chased Baghdadi into his hidden tunnel underneath the compound.
Unfortunately, Baghdadi took 3 of his young children with him into the tunnel and as our soldiers closed in on him at a dead-end, Baghdadi blew himself up along with his 3 children. Fortunately, no U.S. soldier was killed or injured during this highly dangerous raid and they were able to remove sensitive documents and intelligence from the compound before airstrikes were called in to destroy the compound. As dark as it is to be happy someone was brutally killed, it could not have happened to a more deserving person. The death and the way he died will certainly be a massive blow to the already depleted terror organization in Iraq and Syria.
