AR pistols, Short-Barreled-Rifles (SBR), and Short-Barrelled Shotguns (SBS) are on their way out if President Biden has anything to say about it. There will always be an argument about access to guns when we continually have mass shootings in our country. To make it as clear as possible, we will never condone anyone using a gun to harm innocent civilians and believe they should only be used for sport and self-defense. These guns are not cheap and not really meant for shooters who only shoot a few times a year. Christensen Arms and Geissele Automatics are 2 of the most expensive and advanced manufacturers on the planet. 

1. Christensen Arms CA9mm Pistol

Christensen Arms is one of the most advanced weapons manufacturers that incorporates the best materials with precise machinery to produce guns that are incredibly hard to beat. I know that I’ll never be able to afford a Christensen Arms gun, but I have shot a couple of their rifles and love to dream about what it’d be like to own one. The first gun I shot was the CA 9mm pistol receiver is made from forged aluminum to withstand any amount of pressure, temperature, and the environment we have on Earth. What makes this gun so expensive is the carbon fiber wrapped barrel and the carbon-aluminum hybrid handguard that significantly reduces the weight of the gun without sacrificing performance. 

The CA 9mm pistol is only 5.5 lbs and comes stock with an incredible match-grade trigger assembly and a 3-prong flash hider for optimal performance under any situation. The first thing I noticed on this gun was how light and clean the trigger pull was. I don’t think I’ve ever shot an AR pistol with a stock trigger that broke like glass and showed no signs of creep. The nitride finish on the CA 9mm pistol prevents the wear and tear that even the most careful shooters will get at the range or in the field. With a 7.5" barrel and beautiful burnt bronze Cerakote, there is nothing about this AR pistol that you won’t love.

2. Geissele Automatics Super Duty Pistol

The Geissele Automatics Super Duty Pistol is the most expensive and high-end gun that I’ve ever seen in a stock build. Most people know Geissele from their state-of-the-art triggers that even the most avid professionals can’t get enough of. The barrel on this gun is an example of Geissele just showing off at this point with a magnesium phosphate, cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined 11.5" barrel. 

The Geissele Automatics Super Duty lower receiver is made from 7075-T6 aluminum and is built with the SSA-E X Super Semi-Automatic trigger. It’s crazy to think you can own an AR pistol with an incredible 2.9 lbs trigger pull that is currently used by many Special Operations forces stationed around the world. I’ve probably already said this, but if it’s good enough for America’s most highly trained soldiers, it’s good enough for everyone. The green finish is something I’ve never seen on a gun and absolutely love the unique flair that separates the Super Duty pistol from any other gun. 

3. Radical Firearms 5.56 Pistol

The Radical Firearms AR pistol features a 7.5" barrel and a pistol-length gas tube for a lower profile gun. Just like any gun with an arm-brace you should make sure you register it with the ATF. Radical Firearms really improved the versatility with a gun that gives you multiple platforms to shot from, including shoulder-fired, and 1-handed with the brace. The handguard is free-floating and is compatible with all M-LOK attachments. This gives you the opportunity to use optics, lasers, and lights on your AR pistol for incredible versatility. The Radical Firearms AR pistol is the best-priced gun on the list. It might not have all the bells and whistles of a Christensen Arms rifle, but for half the price, it’s a great buy, IMO. 

A twist rate of 1:7" is designed to handle ammo that is much heavier than a larger twist rate. The tighter rifling allows for the use of a 62 grain 5.56mm NATO bullet with no issues changing between bullet sizes. It’s not easy to find an AR Pistol with the ability to hold 30-round magazines of 5.56mm NATO. It should go without saying that these guns will not be around for very long with the way the political pressure is dictating new gun control legislation. For under $700, this AR pistol has everything you’d need and nothing you don’t.
