The Carhartt Rugged-Flex Rigby Cam Pants are on a closeout deal because they’re running out of supply and are not making them anymore. I have a pair but unfortunately paid $50 for my pants. They’re extremely lightweight at only 8 ounces and are made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex canvas for water and abrasion resistance. I use these pants both in late early bow season (Oct) and late turkey season (May) in Virginia.
The seams of the pants are reinforced in the belt loops, waistline, and backside to provide the durability that Carhartt is known for. I was skeptical about using cotton pants to hunt with, especially when I know I’m going to get wet, but these pants do a great job in humid environments and are really comfortable with the relaxed fit. I wouldn’t use these pants as rain pants, but they will keep you dry if you’re not sitting in soaked leaves or getting drenched by the drain. For $34, these pants are a steal, and would recommend them to anyone. This deal ends today, however, so act fast! Good luck and happy hunting!
